Ball Valve Handling Tool
ABCO Subsea is bringing to market a ball valve handling tool to help eliminate manual handling of heavy loads in the moon pool. This tool can be mobilized by a single deckhand and is load tested per the operator’s lifting policy.
Ball Valve Handling Tool Product Features
- Suspends the ball valve assembly in a well-balanced, horizontal position
- Load is trained on the handling tool as it is made up, ensuring no dropped objects
- Aluminum and (aluminum not used in ABCO’s design) Delrin components are used on the handling tool’s mandrel to prevent damage to the ball valve
